Hi welcome back to my blog. This week for maths we have been finding out what makes a good maths mate  A good maths mate is when you listen to your peers ideas and thoughts you also need to work together and help each other out.  A good maths mate also consists of teamwork and don't be shy to give an idea and no ideas are silly

Writing

This week for writing we had to carry on with our speech and copy and paste our favourite paragraph

This is mine

Our goal world wide is to ensure healthy lives to promote good well being for all at all ages. Why? Because ensuring healthy lives and promoting good well being is important to those building prosperous societies. But COVID-19 pandemic has devastated health systems globally and threatens already achieved health outcomes. Our progress so far has been that we have reduced like; child mortality, in increasing coverage of immunisation, and in reducing some infectious diseases, continues, but the rate of improvement has slowed down, especially during COVID-19.

Have you ever written a speech?

Maths W4

Hi welcome back to my blog. This week for maths we had to buddy up with someone to do our maths and we had to answer a bunch of different questions. Me and William had to buddy up and we had to solve the questions that the teacher gave us. I think that we worked pretty well and got our task done on time. We got questions about the rugby from the Crusaders and the Highlanders.

Health and well being

Hi welcome back to my blog. This week we had to carry on writing our speech.

This is my speech so far!

You'll be heartbroken to hear that more than more than 54 million people died in 2015 due to poor health and well being. I'm here to talk to you about children's health.

All the people in our hub has made it past the age of 5, which is very normal in this country and we take it for granted

What I think/feel about the subject of well being and health I think it's quite sad that there are unfortunate people that aren't as lucky as us and that they can't have their own checkups because they might not have enough money to sustain their family which means they can't have their check ups. I think if this carries on more and more people will suffer from losing their loved ones and losing their lives. Every 2 seconds grownups the age of 30 to 70 yrs old die of many diseases  . 19.4 million kids did not receive essential vaccines during their first year of life

What do you think about this topic?

Should kids have junk food?

Hi, welcome back to my blog. This week for reading we had to chose a text and make a screencasify with a buddy. I made my screencastify with Ruby, we talked about 'why kids shouldn't have junk food' we both agreed and disagreed. we think that kids should have junk food but not a big amount of it but we disagree as well because we know what happens when you eat to much junk food. Junk food doesn't have a big amount of minerals and important things that your body needs but junk find has lots of salts, grease, oils and more

this is our screencastify

Speech planning

Hi, welcome back to my blog. This week we had to chose a goal and i chose to write about good health and well being

Speech Planning

Statistics

Less than 17,000 children die a day and 6 million children die before their 6th birthday a year. Since 2000, measles vaccines have averted nearly 15.6 million deaths. Children born into poverty are almost twice as likely to die before the age of five as those from wealthier families. Children of educated mothers—even mothers with only primary schooling—are more likely to survive than children of mothers with no education. Despite determined global progress, an increasing proportion of child deaths are in sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Asia. Four out of every five deaths of children under age five occur in these regions.Maternal health

Damage caused                                                                                               People dying to early in life and family losing loved ones because of a disease

Here are some health problems                                                             Maternal mortality, Fight communicable disease, Prevent and treat substance abuse, reduce road injuries and death and there are so many more.

Specify problem                                                                                              Find more cures

Solution                                                                                                           To help find more medicines to help the people that are going through tough times

Change                                                                                                                        Help people going through things

Call to action                                                                                                             Ask people for help and convince people to donate more

Aims                                                                                                                                To save more people

Act together                                                                                                   Help each other out

Positive and Negative intent

Hi, welcome  back to my blog. This week for reading we had to separate the negative and positive adjectives. We had to look for adjectives in a text and write them down on a column and write the sentence or the word down. For example a negative word in a text is: Weep and a good adjective is: joyously

This is my work

Of course I'll buy some, what do I need to do?”she asked.

The girls replied with “Just need to sign this,” they passed her a white, flat piece of paper, “and gave us $2.

”Oh well that's easy”she said, signing the paper*.“So girls how has school been?” she asked

“Good thank you” the girls replied.

Giving them the paper and the $2 the old, kind hearten lady whispered.

“What lovely girls”

“Thank you!” The girls said and left.
