Shapes, sides and faces

Hi in this blog I will be talking to you about shapes. We had to do a must do and a can do. Our project was that we had to put the shapes in the right order and I learned what edges, verticals and face edges in the side shape. A verticals are the corner of the shape.  face is the middle of the shape. Here are my links for my work

Reversibility and Place value

Hello welcome back to my blog. Today I will explain what our goal this week was: Use a broad range of strategies to solve multiplication and division problems with whole numbers (Place Value & Reversibility) I decided to make a slide that explained some ideas.

This week for writing our goal was: Use a range of of written features to engage with the audience. We choose to either write a narrative or to carry on finding/writing with our chunk from Mrs Earl's JE1 writing. I choose to write about my chunk. We had to find or write down 3 written features in our text. Mine were: Personification, Simile and Alliteration.

A girl addicted to her phone

This week for reading our goal was to: Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about. Identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important. Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand relationships in the text. I read and wrote "The girl addicted to to her phone" I think it was interesting because the text is explaining about who/what to trust.

Morby and Nemo in the ocean

Our goal for this week was: A central character embarks on a quest for a goal, experiencing highs and lows on the journey before finally achieving what they intended.

I wrote a story about Nemo and Morby which is quite different to the normal story in the movie. Instead of the name Dori I changed the name to Morby. I hope you like my story!

This week for writing we had a choice of what to write about and we had to sort of protest in our own words about it. I choose "why its okay for animals to be in zoos"

This week for reading we had to make predictions about 1 story that we choose. Our goal was: Make predictions about the text. Look for clues to confirm predictions.
